What the company does

Trinaius Power Generation develops generation projects on and with Indigenous communities, takes them through interconnection, and operates and manages them once they are running. Solar first. Conversion of forestry products to syngas or oil sits inside our parameters; waste of any kind does not.

The current focus is a grid-connected project of roughly ten megawatts on approximately one hundred acres of serviced industrial land with an existing transfer station. The output goes to the grid. Carbon credits stay with the venture rather than being traded away for a reduced power bill, which is the more common arrangement and a materially worse one for the landholder.

Every project is structured so that the community's own corporation holds equity in the venture and a seat on its board. That is a commercial decision before it is anything else: it is what makes a project eligible for the federal and provincial Indigenous financing programs, and it is what makes social licence durable rather than negotiated project by project.
